Since 1925, the Ogle family has lived, worked and played on the land at Five Oaks. When we built the Ogle Brothers General Store, we had three goals in mind. The first being able to tell the story of the generations before us. The second goal was to pay tribute to our history of farm life and Appalachian roots. Finally, our third goal was to celebrate the beliefs and traditions on which our country was built. We work hard to provide all of our guests with a shopping experience they won’t find elsewhere, as well as tell our story in the process.

Many times when you enter cheap souvenir shops, you’ll notice the low quality of the items being sold. Our products could not be further from this stereotype! We supply top-quality, well-crafted items that we know our guests will love. From brands like Kavu, Eno, Marmot and more, we know that we’re providing you with products that are built to last. We have curated brands and products that would meet the standards of those who took care of this land long before the general store was ever here. One of the things that we’re most proud of is our support for local crafters and artists in the Smokies area. From our handcrafted pottery to the homemade delicious food items, we supply the best local products around. Sample some of our mouth watering preserves and jellies, dips, seasonings and more!
