A cool item you probably won’t find many places is a handmade bacon cooker. Our resident pottery maker handcrafts every bacon cooker and glazes it in house. To use this item, you’ll just lay bacon around the rim of the cup, place it in the oven to cook, and the bowl bottom catches all the bacon grease, creating the most delicious strips of bacon you’ve ever had!
2. Handmade Chicken Cooker
Another interesting find at Ogle Brothers General Store is the handmade chicken cooker. This is another pottery item you probably won’t find anywhere else in an assortment of colors. To use the chicken cooker, you’ll place your liquid (broth, water, wine, etc.) and herbs and spices into the center cup. Then you’ll place the chicken over the cup, and roast it in the oven.
