What to Expect When You Visit Five Oaks Farm Kitchen
It can be hard trying to decide where you should eat while you’re in town. With so many options, you may be overwhelmed. That’s why we want to share one of the best places to eat in town with you! Five Oaks Farm Kitchen is one of the best restaurants around, and we want to tell you what eating with them is like.
Good Ole Southern Cookin’
The first thing you should know about Five Oaks Farm Kitchen is what their food is like. You won’t find better southern food anywhere else! Whether you’re loading up on breakfast for your big day ahead, making a pit stop for lunch, or eating dinner before you head back to your lodging, you will find some of the most delicious, traditional southern cuisine.
For breakfast, there’s fluffy pancakes covered in syrup served with a side of bacon, sausage, and eggs cooked to order. You can’t go wrong with their signature cinnamon rolls that are bigger than your head, but you’ll also love the savory breakfast casseroles.
Lunch is pretty casual at Five Oaks. Get a fresh salad topped with all kinds of veggies, or get a heaping scoop of what’s in the soup kettle. Some of our southern favorites include the open faced pot roast served over mashed potatoes or freshly made meatloaf.
Of course, dinner is the biggest meal of the day in this kitchen. Get one of the smokehouse meals, like pulled pork, full rack of ribs, or smoked chicken. Their fried chicken is golden brown and crispy, just the way you want it. If you’re looking for comfort food, you can’t go wrong with the chicken pot pie! And, of course, you can choose from a variety of southern sides like:
- Pinto beans
- Potato salad
- Stuffed tomato casserole
- Fried okra
- Fried green tomatoes
- Turnip greens
- Creamed corn
- And more!
Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere
Five Oaks Farm Kitchen is built on the property of the Ogle family, a well-known family in the Sevier County area. Dr. John and Blanche Ogle were known for welcoming people into their home and offering them meals and anything else they needed. This restaurant takes pride in keeping the spirit of the Ogles alive by keeping the atmosphere warm and welcome with a friendly staff. These people will go above and beyond to make your dining experience the best it can be, and you’ll have such a good time, you’ll want to visit multiple times on your trip.
Beautiful Farmhouse Theme
Since the Ogles lived on a farm, there was no better theme for the restaurant than a farmhouse! As soon as you pull up to the building, you’ll know you’re in the right place. The red exterior, tin roof, and farm decor outside will immerse you in the farmhouse experience. Inside, you’ll be welcomed by wooden walls, beams, and accents that make it feel cozy, like you’re in someone’s home. Every wall is covered in farmhouse-themed decor, and it adds to your experience.
